A bit of CLC Deaf Ministry History. The VISION for the Deaf Ministry began back in 1989 at the Women's Conference at Willow Valley Conference Center. While famous singer and song writer Dottie Rambo was ministering (singing AND signing to the song: "We Shall Behold Him") Francine Herrmann, Deaf Ministry Director, was so inspired by this song that she began signing to songs in CLC after that encounter when she received the "Gift of Sign". An immediate response from CLC Pastor's Dr. Earl and Betty Sherrick was that Francine get all the training needed (formal schooling) and even assisted in the schooling to become American Sigh Language proficient. Francine is a Freelance Sign Language Interpreter, LLC of Delaware and 360 Translations, International of New Jersey. She serves the Deaf through providing interpreting services at Christian Life Center, (CLC) every first Sunday, monthly. All are invited to come and worship with us at 10:00 am.
Our vision/goal is to serve the Deaf to train and empower them to do their part in their Christian walk with the Lord to be doers of His Word to "Go ye into all the world and preach the good news of the Gospel." according to the Book of Mark 16:15. Thus, that Deaf training will then become a vehicle to train the Deaf to reach the Deaf.
Contact Francine Herrmann, Director at 856.469.1197, for ASL class interest. As we acquire class size to hold the next set of classes, we will inform all who've signed up.
Events will be posted as they become available.
